What role does artificial intelligence and big data have to play in the future of pipelines?

The Young Pipeliners Association of Canada (YPAC) is proud to present the fourth session of the 2018 Industry Impact Series in Calgary.

In this presentation, San Gunawardana, Co-founder & CEO, Enview, will discuss how artificial intelligence and big data can be used to deliver practical pipeline integrity 3D geospacial insights. This is a great opportunity to learn about emerging technology and to network with fellow pipeliners!

Enview is a leader in 3D geospatial analytics. They rapidly transform nation-scale 3D geospatial datasets into insights and action to protect people and infrastructure. Enview combines significant expertise in geospatial big data, deep learning and 3D computer vision to prevent threats from becoming incidents that impact people, businesses, and the environment..

After finishing a PhD in aerospace engineering at Stanford, San went to Afghanistan where he combined data analytics and remote sensing to detect threats and prevent incidents. San is excited to apply those insights to help the energy sector solve impactful problems. San has done computer vision at NASA, built imaging satellites with the Air Force, and was an early employee at ICON Aircraft.
