YPAC is excited to promote an event by Alberta Energy Students Association and Wood Mackenzie Group:

Where is the energy industry going? Have you wondered about how much oil and natural gas we will be using in the future? What about gasoline use or plastics production? How will renewables and electric vehicles affect energy demand? What will Canada’s role be in providing the energy mix of the future?
The direction of the energy industry is one that has countless predictions. In today’s world of “fake news”, easily accessible opinion pieces and social media articles regarding energy use and production, it can be difficult to see the real, unbiased trends.

Please join us on Thursday January 18th for a discussion on energy trends and financial modelling put on in conjunction between the global consultancy and research firm, Wood Mackenzie, and the Alberta Energy Students Association (AESA). There will be a discussion around the basics of financial modelling followed by a presentation regarding macro energy trends and analysis. We will also be discussing careers both at Wood Mackenzie and the financial side of the energy industry.
